WALK-A-BOUT ACRES is nestled in the Sulphur Springs Valley in Willcox, AZ. We are located 90 miles east of Tucson, Arizona, off of Interstate 10. WALK-A-BOUT ACRES has been raising donkeys since 1982. We take pride in the animals we raise. All animals are lead broke and trailer broke when they are sold, unless stated otherwise. All their feet will have been handled. We use kind and gentle handling on our animals. We are breeding for quality jackstock that should mature 14.3 hands plus. Mainly we are breeding for Blacks, Grey Duns and Spotted but we do get an occassional red. All of our mammoth jennets are 14.1 hands (57") or bigger and our mammoth jacks are 14.1 hands (from 14.3-16 hands bloodlines) and our immature jack is currently 17 hands and is expected to mature 17+ hands. Our animals are expected to be able to produce quality animals with great dispostion, but at the same time be a riding and/or driving animal too. We are breeding for quality not quantity.
